For all mariners, regardless of skill level, interested in leadership and small boat handling professional development. CBP’s Leadership Training Program is recruiting a pool of 15 crew for a weekly on the water course based in Port Hadlock from 1000-1300 on Saturdays. Each week 8 crew (first come first served) will hit the water to developing hard small boat coxswain, sailing and rowing skills. If the weather is too foul to go out, we will meet shore side and go over topics including navigation, weather, tides and currents, marine licensing, youth adult partnerships, and behavior management in a small boat environment. Our goal is to help the crew build the confidence and skill set needed to coxswain and lead a crew of youth on small sailing vessels.
