Into the Wild– A Forest Ecology Adventure
Free Summer Hiking Program

What: Earn CTE credit hiking the Olympic Mountains this summer!
Who: Jefferson County High School Students Age 14-18 (only 6 spots available)
Where: We plan to trek the Duckabush, Dosewallips, Elwha, Hoh, Royal Basin, and more!
When: Tuesdays, June 21st- July 26th
Meet at The Community Boat Project Campus in Port Hadlock @ 8:30am (return by 5pm)
We will learn about the geological and cultural history of the Olympic Mountains and study
the hydrologic cycle, species diversity and distribution, and forest management techniques.
Basic hiking knowledge such as orientation, map reading, and safety will also be reviewed.
Through reading, journaling, art, and discussion we will come to better understand the
unique ecology of the Olympic Peninsula.

Dragonhearts- Summer Boating
Free summer sailing/rowing opportunities

What: Get out on the water in one of our lovely boats this summer!
Who: Any and all, ages 14 up
Where: Sailing and rowing out of the Port Hadlock Marina, Meet at The Old Alcohol Plant parking lot
When: Thursdays 5-8pm starting June 1st
We will go out in Epic or Felicity Ann, sailing and rowing. Learn the basics of sailing, rowing, knot tying and more.

Tiny House Boot Camp

What: Learn to build a Tiny Home from design to completion
Who: Any and all, ages 13 and below accompanied by an adult
Where: the Community Boat Project campus in Port Hadlock
When: June 29-August 5th Wednesday 9-4, Thursday 9-1, Friday 9-1
