Today the Sailor Scientist class was put to the test! They were completely in charge of of preparing the boat, choosing the destination, collecting science samples and getting us docked safely. They passed with flying colors!

We also enjoyed presentations on animals that the class found living at the docks. They included the Red Tube Worm, Blue Mussel, Skeleton Shrimp and Hooded Nudibranch.
We look forward to the next class after New Years. Happy Holidays!

Some of the hardworking people who make the Wednesday Sailor Scientist class happen. Big thanks to Captain Nahja, community boat project interns Emilee and Josh, and sailor scientist intern Christina.
